Jada Fish Co began as a simple idea shared between Steve and Lee-Anne – a North Canterbury couple with a deep appreciation for quality seafood and a desire to bring something special to their local community. What started as a vision quickly grew into a venture grounded in experience, passion, and family.

Steve brings nearly four decades of hands-on expertise in the seafood industry. His trained eye for quality and precision is evident in everything he does, from expertly filleting fish to maintaining the highest standards of quality control. Over the years, he has also shared his knowledge by teaching filleting skills to both commercial and recreational learners, passing on the craft to the next generation.

Lee-Anne compliments this with her strong community focus and professional background. Currently managing a local not-for-profit organisation, she is deeply committed to supporting and connecting people. Her experience in property law and administration adds a practical, organised foundation to the business.

At the heart of Jada Fish Co is family. The name itself is an acronym of their children’s names, a constant reminder of what drives them every day. Alongside their dedication to quality and community, Steve and Lee-Anne bring a sense of humour to everything they do – so customers can expect not just great seafood, but plenty of laughter along the way.
